FIDE Grand Prix : Zug not Zwang

The next round in the Grand Prix cycle – to determine the next challengers for the World Championship (technically, the winner and runner-up qualify for the Candidates tournament) – has started in Zug, Switzerland. The Chess Mind blog – an excellent site I recommend you bookmarking – has a nice update of the first round. There’s also the official site, but it’s not as good as the secondary sources.

Both Nakamura and Kamsky are playing in the tournament, and they are scheduled to meet on 4/21 (Sunday).

As of today Nakamura is in 2nd place trailing Veselin Topalov. Both Kamsky and Nakamura scored victories today. it would be nice to see Nakamura qualify for the Candidates tournament.
