Right now they are in the 5th hour of the 4th game, and this one appears worthy of a WC match. It’s a Ruy Lopez Berlin defense that has evolved into a complex late middlegame where Carlsen is up one pawn but Anand for the moment has more active pieces. Computer evaluation is in Black’s (Carlsen’s) favor, but the advantage has been reducing a little bit over time. Too complex for anyone at our level to predict the outcome, but there appears to be a drawing line coming up, so that’s my prediction.

Live commentary is on the official site, with a rotating cast. Currently this includes Susan Polgar, which must drive the USCF officials crazy. IM Lawrence Trent and IM/WGM Tania Sachdev are an entertaining commentating pair as well.
